Summer Morning Intensive Courses

Wind down for Christmas:
This week of asana, pranayama and meditation will focus on inner awareness and the calming of the mind.

Michael de Manincor returns to teach his highly regarded morning course for the first time in two years. The first week will be based around pranayama and the breath, and the second will explore meditation in yoga.

This is a course not to be missed, so contact us early to book your place.
Jan 13 - 17 and 20 - 24 (Tues to Sat)
6:30 - 8:00am (7:30 - 9:00am on Sat)
Cost: $125 per week, or $195 for both weeks.

Beginners courses starting Thursday January 22nd

“Beginning from where we are…”

Interested in learning yoga but not sure where to start?  Perhaps you have taken a first step but want to reinforce some of the basic principles of this tradition? This six week course begins where you are.  No prior experience is necessary. You will learn how to inquire into your physical condition using appropriate asanas (yoga postures) and some basic principles of asana practice, including how to breathe, how to acknowledge the breath, and how to coordinate breath with movement. All you need is comfortable clothing and a sense of discovery. 

Thursday evenings, 6:30 to 8:00pm

YOGA SUTRAS - STUDIES AND CHANTING

Classical chanting of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and a personal exploration and discussion of the wisdom of these ancient teachings in our modern lives.
Prior knowledge of the Yoga Sutras may be required.
Thursday mornings 10:00 am - 12 noon.

Mums and Bubs Short course - Post Natal Yoga - begins soon!

Fridays, 10.30-11.30am. Come along to our 6 week post natal course. Please come 10-15 mins early to get yourself and your baby settled and ready to begin class. We have a lift that you can use. Easy for prams.
Post-natal / Baby Sanga is a special class designed for new mothers and their babies. The aim is for both mothers and babies to enjoy the benefits of yoga in a fun environment. Classes include asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), relaxation and chanting. There is a strong focus on common post-natal issues such as realignment of the spine, core body strength and pelvic floor toning.
The class is suitable for babies up to crawling age and provides a great atmosphere to meet some other 'new parents'.

Cost: $120 for 6 week course

Early Morning Course starts soon!

Start your day with an energising and stimulating practice at Yoga Sanga. The classes will give you a fresh, clear and focussed feeling that will stay with you throughout the day. The focus will be on strength and flexibility (asana), breathing (pranayama) and some elements of meditation. What a great way to get fit for summer!

Yoga Sanga Teacher Training 2009

We are now offering the Yoga Sanga Teacher Training course under three different modalities:

  1. One evening per week & alternate Saturdays, during NSW school terms - commences Feb. 2009
  2. Friday course - a full day of study every Friday
  3. A series of 9-day intensives and weekend workshops, mostly during NSW school holidays - module 2 commencing October 2008 - Bridging course avaiable for new students
